17 General

In short

You pay when you book. Sessions can be moved free of charge with [48 hours’] notice, and you have the usual 14-day consumer right to change your mind — except on guides once you’ve downloaded them.

I’ll do the work properly and keep what you tell me private. I’m a coach, though, not a solicitor or an accountant — and I can’t guarantee a particular number of bookings.

01 About these terms

These terms set out how we work together — what you’re buying, what I’ll do, what happens if plans change, and where the limits are. They apply whenever you book a session or buy a guide from this website.

By booking or buying, you’re agreeing to them. Please read them first; if something doesn’t sit right, email me before you book rather than after.

Nothing in these terms removes or reduces your legal rights as a consumer under UK law.

02 Who you’re contracting with

Your contract is with [legal / trading name — e.g. “Ashleigh Allwood t/a The Let Loft”, or the limited company name and number] of [correspondence address].

Email ash@theletloft.com. That is the fastest way to reach me and the address to use for anything formal — cancellations, complaints or notices.

03 What I offer

  • 1:1 Consultancy— a[45]-minute strategy call to work through a specific problem, with an action plan agreed on the call.
  • Property Audit— a review of your listing, photography, pricing and guest journey, delivered as a written action plan plus a walkthrough call.
  • Styling & Interiors—[coming soon — confirm scope and terms before launch].
  • Guides & Resources— digital downloads you buy once and keep.

What each includes is described on the Work With Me page. If you need something outside those descriptions, ask — but treat it as outside the booking unless I’ve confirmed it in writing.

04 Booking and confirmation

  • Sessions are booked through the calendar on this website. Your booking becomes a contract when you receive my confirmation email — not when you submit the form.

I may decline or cancel a booking if I’m not the right person to help, if the work falls outside what I offer, or if I’m unable to deliver it. If that happens you’ll get a full refund and I’ll say so promptly.

Sessions run by video call unless we agree otherwise. You’ll get a link in advance.

05 Prices and payment

  • Prices are shown on the website in pounds sterling and are payable in full at the time of booking or purchase, unless I’ve agreed something different with you in writing.

Payments are handled by [payment provider]. I don’t see or store your card details.

I’ll always honour the price shown when you booked. If a price on the site is obviously wrong — a clear typographical error — I’ll contact you before taking payment and you can confirm at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

[VAT position — state either “Prices do not include VAT as The Let Loft is not VAT registered” or “Prices include VAT at the applicable rate; VAT number [number]”.]

06 Digital guides and downloads

  • When you buy a guide, you’ll get a download link by email immediately after payment. The link is for you alone.

Guides are supplied to you for your own use in running your own property. You may print a copy for yourself. You may not resell, share, republish, upload or distribute them, or use them to create a competing product.

Guides are supplied “as is” and reflect my experience and the market at the time of writing. Platform rules, tax treatment and regulations change; check anything time-sensitive before you act on it.

If a download fails or the file is faulty, tell me within 30 days and I’ll fix it or refund you.

07 Your right to cancel

  • As a consumer you normally have 14 days to change your mind about something bought online. Here is how that applies.

    Sessions and audits

You have 14 days from booking to cancel for a full refund — unless your session takes place inside that window and you asked me to start sooner. In that case you can still cancel, but I may keep a proportionate amount for the work already done. Once a session has been fully delivered, the 14-day right no longer applies.

    Digital guides

The 14-day right does not apply to digital content once the download has begun, provided you have agreed to that and acknowledged it. You’ll be asked to tick a box confirming this at checkout — if you don’t tick it, your download starts after the 14 days.

    How to cancel

Email ash@theletloft.com saying you want to cancel. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 14 days of my accepting the cancellation.

Beyond your legal rights: [state Ashleigh’s own goodwill refund policy here — e.g. “If you finish a session and feel it wasn’t worth it, tell me within 7 days and I’ll refund you.” Leave this out entirely if she’d rather not offer one.]

08 Rescheduling and missed sessions

    • Rescheduling— you can move your session free of charge with at least[48 hours’]notice, using the link in your confirmation email.
    • Short notice— changes inside[48 hours]are at my discretion and may be treated as a missed session.
    • Missed sessions— if you don’t attend and haven’t told me, the session is treated as delivered and isn’t refundable. Things happen, though; if something genuinely went wrong, tell me and I’ll be reasonable.
    • If I have to move it— I’ll give you as much notice as I can and offer the next available time, or a full refund if that doesn’t work for you

09 What you can expect from me

    • I’ll deliver everything with reasonable care and skill, as the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires, and within the time we agree.

      • I’ll come to your session prepared, having read whatever you sent in advance.
      • I’ll give you honest advice, including when the honest answer isn’t the one you were hoping for.
      • I’ll treat everything you tell me about your property, finances and bookings as confidential.
      • Written deliverables arrive within[5 working days]of the session unless I’ve told you otherwise

10 What I need from you

      • Give me accurate information. The advice is only as good as what it’s based on.
      • Send anything I’ve asked for — listing links, figures, photos — before the session, so we spend the time on strategy rather than gathering.
      • Turn up on time, on a connection that works.
      • Keep guides and materials to yourself.

If I can’t deliver because information hasn’t arrived, I may need to reschedule, and repeated delays may be treated as a missed session.

11 The limits of my advice

      • This matters, so I’ll be direct about it.

I am a holiday let coach. I am not a solicitor, accountant, mortgage adviser, tax adviser, planning consultant or regulated financial adviser, and nothing I provide is legal, tax, financial or investment advice.

Before you act on anything with legal, tax or financial consequences — company structures, mortgage terms, planning permission, licensing, tax treatment, insurance — take advice from a properly qualified professional in that field.

I can share what has worked for me and for other owners, but I can’t and don’t guarantee any particular level of bookings, occupancy, revenue or profit. Results depend on your property, your market, your pricing, the wider economy and how much of the plan you actually put into practice. Any figures or examples I mention are illustrations, not promises.

Decisions about your property remain yours.

12 Intellectual property

      • Everything on this website and in my guides, templates, frameworks and written plans — text, images, structure and design — belongs to me or is used with permission.

When you buy or book, you get a personal, non-transferable licence to use those materials for your own property. You don’t get ownership, and you may not copy, resell, share or repurpose them commercially without my written permission.

Anything you send me — photos, listing copy, figures — stays yours. You’re giving me permission to use it only to do the work you’ve asked for.

13 Feedback and testimonials

I may ask whether I can quote your feedback on the website or social media. That only ever happens with your explicit permission, and you can tell me how you’d like to be credited — full name, first name and county, or anonymously.

You can withdraw that permission at any time by emailing me, and I’ll remove the quote.

14 Liability

Nothing in these terms limits my liability for death or personal injury caused by my negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited.

Subject to that, my total liability to you in connection with any booking or purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it.

I’m not liable for losses that weren’t reasonably foreseeable, for losses arising from your own decisions, or for business losses — lost profit, lost bookings, lost opportunity — where you’re acting as a business.

15 Events outside my control

If something genuinely beyond my control prevents me delivering — serious illness, bereavement, power or internet failure, or similar — I’ll contact you as soon as I can and we’ll reschedule. If a delay is substantial, you can cancel and receive a refund for anything not yet delivered.

16 If something goes wrong

Tell me. Email ash@theletloft.com with what happened and what you’d like done about it. I’ll acknowledge within [2 working days] and give you a full response within [14 days].

Most things are solved by a straightforward conversation, and I’d always rather have that one than not.

17 General

  • I may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to you is the one published when you booked or bought.
  • If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
  • If I don’t enforce something straight away, that doesn’t mean I’ve given up the right to.
  • You may not transfer your booking to someone else without my agreement.
  • These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your own country’s courts.
